National Red Wine Day

In celebration of National Red Wine Day Urban Farmer wanted to highlight one of our true favorites on the wine menu. This elegant beauty is the Stoller Pinot Noir which graces our “by the glass” list, from the 2013 vintage. The wine catches the essence and purity of red fruit flavors from the heart of Oregon’s Willamette Valley in the Dundee Hills AVA, on owners Bill and Cathy’s 400 acre property. Here the wine develops aromas of brambleberry, cherry, lilac and violets. Our Senior Restaurant Manager TC, who is also a Level  1 Sommelier, lovingly described the wine when asked, saying it was a fantastic wine out of Oregon. He noted that the inaugural wine for the Stoller Family Estates was first made only 14 years ago, on what used to be the family’s turkey farm. Since then the winery has even become the first LEED® certified winemaking facility in the United States, attaining the rare Gold level certification. Our Chef de Cuisine, Rebecca Hess also recently traveled to this winery during her time in Oregon. With appreciation for Oregon wines continually on the rise, we wanted to invite you to step into this world and try a glass; you will be so happy that you did
